So I've picked up another job it seems this week.  It's not a job that I'm going to flail around for (retail) but, it's a good place to hone my public relations skills and work on my turns of phrase.  Being a public figure is just as important as knowing your stuff in the makeup world.  I'm learning that very quickly. Some of the things I've learned so far:   - You won't get a good response from someone if you use 'yes' or 'no' questions such as "Are you finding everything okay today?"  It's better to start out with "How are you doing today?"  or lead with a comment on what they're looking at  "That product is great, have you used it?"   th

So this week I've been learning the ins and outs of planning for a business.  I guess it's time to start embracing the difficult side of business rather than floating on the coat tails of the fun.  I've arranged meetings with several marketers in town and I'll probably arrange several more before next week it out I'm afraid. But this is that necessary part of being an entrepreneur.  If you want to do what you love, better take the hard with the easy.
